Jacobs Steel is an independent limited company originally opened by Ashley Jacobs and Derek Steel in 1984. We have always had the best interests of our clients and customers as a driving force behind the quality service that we offer, but we have gone further by making sure that our directors, managers, negotiators and support staff are trained to the highest possible standards.

In England it is mandatory for an estate agency to be a member of a Government Approved Estate Agent Redress Scheme. Our company is registered with The Property Ombudsman Service (TPOS) and all of our offices are covered by the scheme.

Derek is a Fellow of The National Association of Estate Agents often referred to as the NAEA.

It is very rare that anyone asks us, but should you find our service not up to the highest standards please look at our Complaints Procedure.


The Ombudsman’s role is to provide fair & reasonable resolutions to disputes between members of the public and estate agents who are members of the scheme or who have registered with TPOS as an Approved Redress Scheme.


Founded in 1962, our members practise across all aspects of property both in the UK and overseas, including residential and commercial sales and letting, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land.
