Jacobs Steel's 2020k

2019 was the year of change for Jacobs Steel.

We saw our two new Managing Directors, Pat Barton and Matt Jacobs implement one of the biggest rebrands our company has ever seen; stepping away from our renowned burgundy and cream branding in to a vibrant, unmissable red with contemporary logo.

We hired our first ever Marketing Manager; a decision that has proven to be a decision well made. Our social media and website engagement has grown hugely and we are confident our rebrand campaign went as well as it did thanks to our Marketing Manager, Jayde.

We also held our first ever charity ball; raising over £9,000 for local mental health charity; Mind Coastal West Sussex. Really, it was the success of this ball that encouraged us to set further charitable goals for 2020…

At Jacobs Steel, we’ve always been proud of our involvement within our local communities. We are often seen sponsoring local events, taking part in village carnivals and summer parties; and our boards will often promote school fayres and charity runs.

We’ve raised thousands of pounds over our history; but this year, 2020, is the year that we raise £20,000 within 12 months.

We will be doing all we can to give back to our local communities by raising as much as we can for those who need it most. Our charity ball later in the year will play a big part in our fundraising, but we also want to encourage our staff to be more involved in volunteering and fundraising too. So, throughout the year, keep your eyes peeled for what we’re up to within your community and feel free to join us and get involved!

If you would like to get involved in our fundraising or have a charity or community event you would like to discuss with us, please contact our Marketing Manager, Jayde Pope.

Jacobs Steel Abseils for NSPCC

Our crazy 5-strong team from Lancing & Worthing are abseiling down Arundel Castle's 𝟭𝟴𝟬𝗳𝘁 tower on Sunday 15th March, to raise money for the NSPCC.

Today, 1 in 5 children in the UK have suffered abuse or neglect. That's a really high number.

Most of the staff here at Jacobs Steel either have children of their own or young relatives; which is why the NSPCC's message is so strong to us.

The NSPCC work to protect children and prevent abuse so we can make child abuse a thing of the past. But they can’t do it without the help of their volunteers and fundraisers.

Mel, Perry & Phoebe from our Lancing office; alongside Laura and Nichola from our Town Centre office, are all taking on the abseil challenge and will shimmy down the side of the 180ft tower as a group on 15th March.

If you would like to help them reach their goal to raise £1,250 for the NSPCC, you can do so here by clicking the donate button, which will take you to our JustGiving fundraising page.

Please join us in wishing them good luck!

Jacobs Steel's Skydive

Harry and Sophie are taking the dive to end local homelessness. On 25th April, they will be jumping out of a plane to raise vital funds to end homelessness in our community.

Harry, Sales Consultant for our Shoreham office says, "As staff at Jacobs Steel, we have developed this amazing relationship with Turning Tides and have already worked with them on a number of projects; including cooking a Christmas meal for some residents at one of their hostels in 2019"

Sophie went on to say "I've always wanted to skydive so when the opportunity came up to support Turning Tides while doing something that's been a dream, I jumped at the chance."

Sophie and Harry have our complete support and are the only two brave enough to sign up to 'take the dive'. They are hoping to raise £1200 between them. A sum of money that means so much to a local charity that we have seen change homeless lives for the better in our community. Click the donate button to be taken to our JustGiving page.
